Very often we are not aware that system and software updates are being constantly implemented. Consequently, documents and images stored with not updated technologies will be increasingly damaged and inaccessible at a certain point. In the centuries to come, historians will look back at our age and could find themselves in front of a “digital desert.”

On a first stage, a painting on a canvas in drawn and day after day it is covered with layers of acrylic until monochrome surfaces appear. These surfaces hide part of the work. The project is documented through photos which show the decomposition of the illustration up to the loss of narrative information.
