Ewa Doroszenko is a visual artist working with photography, painting and multimedia installations, also in the field of Internet art. Her main interest focuses on the intersection area between these practices. She received her Doctor of Arts in Fine Arts from the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun (2012). Ewa Doroszenko is beneficiary of many residency programs, including: Atelierhaus Salzamt in Linz (Austria 2016), The Island-resignified in Lefkada (Greece 2015), Kunstnarhuset Messen in Ålvik (Norway 2015), Hangar in Barcelona (Spain 2014), Fondazione Del Bianco in Florence (Italy 2006).
Ewa Doroszenko explores a wide array of processes depending on the certain context. Her artistic research addresses questions of future technology in tune with digital aesthetics and the traditional fine arts. She is fascinated by artificial world of technology and its comparison to the structure of the nature. Ewa Doroszenko’s projects confront us with the question of representation, refers to the concept of ‘simulacrum’ proposed by Jean Baudrillard.
