I am a multidisciplinary designer graduated with a MA in textile from Kolding Design School, Denmark. The focus is on material studies and analogue techniques which I combine with the industry’s digital processes. In this meeting an interesting interaction appears.
My approach to all my projects is intuitive and exploratory, which gives the works a sensuality that captures and captivates the viewer visually and haptic. My starting point is simple materials, things present in our everyday life. Working with them and challenging their shape, the treatment of their surfaces and their compilation makes it possible to see them in a different light, thus granting them new life. My aim is to create everyday poetry.
About Sculptural Collages :
Technique: Digital- and analogueprint on foam, plywood, plexiglas and polystyrene.
Sculptural Collages consists of seven sculptures that examine the meeting between analogue and digital printing techniques on various material surfaces. The sculptures were made for a solo exhibition in Four Boxes Gallery in Skive, Denmark.
By printing on untraditional materials usually found in the construction industry such as polystyrene, foam, plexiglas and plywood I challenge the print production to find new ways and contexts in which analogue print and digital print can be applied.
In addition to exploring new possibilities for the use of print, I want the exhibition to examine what a textile designer is today and clarify how this profession can be incorporated in future collaborations related to space and interior design
” Art is space for possibilities and inspiration. ”
