Some objects have a universal fascination ability. They captivate us up to a magical extend. A rare mineral, a sacred artefact, an iridescent beetle, bioluminescent algae, dew-drops… My aim is to create objects and generate situations that translate the same mechanism intention, combining synthetic materials and components from common daily or found objects. New materials and technologies fuel and reveal an aura, connecting the spiritual, the organic and the occult in one same relic.
For that matter, I challenge our cultural relationship with sacred and man made artefact worshiping. How do these object become venerable? Our choice to sanctify some of them might be to possibly reflect their particular objective attributes, such as gold, diamonds with obvious strength, flawlessness and durability.
