All clones.
As an impossible attempt to fill the void of organic loss through synthetic technology, the work of Mit Borrás transcends with its aesthetics of ascetic and sanitized spaces, in order to house in its place an intense emotional and visual universe that we find contained in the strangeness of the absence in the universe that it presents to us.
The anguish of the phantom limb syndrome is in his pieces an analogy about the perception of what is absent in our society, what is lost. A spectrum of something that was, before, and that still exists in our subjective-affective reality. The paradox between the spectral and the real, the organic and the prosthetic is enabled by memory, a rich living reality that is the fruit of the virtual exuberance of affective memory, pulsing invisible.
Centro Párraga presents Phantom Limb by Mit Borrás, the new piece within the body of work of ADAPTASI CYCLE, developed over the last five years, synthesizing and diluting the limits of the past and the future, the organic and synthetic, the natural and the technological progress.
